The Luxury Teak series from Shinrai Knives is designed for intensive daily use, without compromising on style or performance. The use of durable teak wood with an end grain structure ensures maximum stability, a long lifespan, and optimal knife-friendliness.
Bundle contents
- 1x Large cutting board: 40 x 30 x 4.5 cm – ideal for larger cutting tasks and intensive use.
- 1x Small cutting board: 35 x 25 x 2.5 cm – perfect for daily use or smaller preparations.
- 1x Mineral cutting board oil 100 ml: including sandpaper for optimal maintenance of your cutting boards.
Unique features and specifications
- High-quality teak wood: Teak wood contains natural oils and resins, making it naturally water-repellent and more resistant to warping, cracking, and mold formation.
- End Grain construction: The cutting surface consists of wood grain, which has less impact on your knives and helps keep them sharp longer.
- Two practical sizes: Suitable for both large and small cutting tasks, from preparing to serving.
- Handy features: The large cutting board has integrated handles and can be used on both sides. The small cutting board is equipped with non-slip feet for optimal stability during use.
- Robust and stable: The large board offers extra stability due to its weight, while the compact version is light and agile.
- Durable and wear-resistant: Resistant to intensive use and designed to last for years.
- High-quality maintenance oil: Odorless, tasteless, and safe for use on food-contact surfaces.
- Protects and nourishes the wood: The mineral oil penetrates deep into the wood and helps prevent drying out, cracking, and staining.
- Water-repellent effect: Reduces moisture absorption and protects against warping and bacterial formation.
- Food-safe glue: The glue used is specially developed for cutting boards, free of toxic substances, and food-safe.
- Warranty: 5-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects.
Usage & Maintenance
- Clean the cutting boards by hand in lukewarm water and mild soap.
- Avoid the dishwasher and do not soak the boards for extended periods.
- Dry the boards immediately and thoroughly after cleaning.
- If necessary, lightly sand the surface with the included sandpaper before oiling.
- Treat the boards regularly (every 2 to 4 months) with the maintenance oil to keep the wood nourished and protected.
- Apply a thin layer of oil and let it soak in well. Repeat until the wood is saturated.
- Store the boards in a dry, well-ventilated place.
- Always use on a flat and stable surface for safe and comfortable cutting.
